The Syracuse City School District will host the 9th Annual Vex Competition on October 29th, making it the longest-run Vex event in New York State.
About 100 students will compete from Corcoran, Nottingham, Fowler/PSLA and HW Smith, as well as Fulton, Chittenango, Rome, Oswego, Sandy Creek and Northwood (Lake Placid). As part of the Vex Robotics Competition ‘Starstruck,’ students will compete in teams to use their robot to outscore an opposing team by scoring ‘star’ and ‘cube’ objects in different zones and hanging ‘robots’ on a hanging bar on a 12 x 12 foot field.
The competition will be held at the Nottingham High School (3100 E. Genesee Street) gymnasium on Saturday, October 29th beginning at 8:30 am. A complete agenda is below.
