Syracuse City School District’s Expeditionary Learning Middle School to Host Peace Day

Seventh grade students at Expeditionary Learning Middle School (ELMS) will be hosting the school’s third annual Day of Peace celebration.

As part of the ELMS seventh grade curriculum, students have been studying the topic ‘A Quest for Change.’ They examined the epidemic of violence in the Syracuse community, interviewed those in our community who create peace and have even created a Peacemakers of Syracuse Book. To prepare for their Day of Peace event, students have created documentaries about local abolitionists, made robots that can help our city,
