
In a City Hall Ceremony, the Mayor Promoted Fifteen to New Positions, Ranging From Lieutenant to Deputy Chief
Miner: Strong Leadership in the Fire Department Helps All Residents, Protecting our Neighborhoods
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Mayor Stephanie A. Miner today promoted fifteen new officers within the Syracuse Fire Department. In a ceremony taking place in the Common Council Chambers of City Hall, the new officers were sworn in to new ranks, including four Lieutenants, five Captains, four District Chiefs, and two Deputy Chiefs.
“Strong leadership in the Fire Department inures to the benefit of all City residents, protecting our neighborhoods and keeping our community safe,” said Syracuse Mayor Stephanie A. Miner. “I thank these firefighters for dedicating their lives to our City and I thank their families for sharing their loved ones with our Fire Department.”
