Syracuse, N.Y. –Syracuse Firefighters rescue a woman who had fallen through the ice and was sinking.
Yesterday January 19th, Firefighters were dispatched at 1:14 p.m. and were clear of the scene by 1:32 p.m. Engine Co. 2 (2300 Lodi Street) was able to get a rope around the victim and with the assistance of two Syracuse Police Officers; they were able to remove the victim from the icy creek. The victim was located in Onondaga Creek near Harborside Drive.
Firefighters then carried the victim to the AMR ambulance for transportation to the hospital. She was reported to be conscious. No further information is available at the time.
