Syracuse Parks Department to Host Free Screening of “Elf” at the Historic Landmark Theater

Popular Holiday Comedy Will Be Screened on Sunday, December 18

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation and Youth Programs will host free showing of the holiday comedy Elf starring Will Ferrell, at the Landmark Theatre on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. Doors for the event will open at 3:00 p.m.  Families can enjoy in the magnificent lobbies of the Landmark, including visits with Santa, and music by the Stan Colella All-Star Band.

“I encourage everyone to bring their families to enjoy this popular holiday classic in the beautiful Landmark Theater,” said Lazarus Sims, Commissioner of the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Programs. “I thank our sponsors and partners for making this event possible.”

The activities and movie are free; and refreshments will be for sale in the lobby concession stand. The screening will be sponsored, in part, by Price Chopper, Total Care, Peace Inc. and The Beat radio.  The Landmark Theater is located at 362 S.
