Syracuse Police Arrest 16-year-old male with defaced, loaded handgun

On Sunday, June 28th, 2020, at around 10:11 P.M., Officers responded to the intersection of Ulster St. and Willis Ave. for a suspicious person with a weapon complaint. Fire Department personnel notified the police that a person was observed holding a handgun in the area while being in the presence of two other people.

K9 Unit, Ofc. Losurdo was the first Officer on scene who located the persons in question. Several other police Units responded as well. During the course of the investigation, Officer Heri located a loaded, defaced handgun on one of the parties, who was a 16-year-old male.

The 16-year-old male was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. ​
