Syracuse Police Arrest a 16 Year Old Female After Shots Fired

Syracuse, NY.  On Sunday, November 11, 2018, at approximately 11:04am, Syracuse Police Officers responded to the 3500 block of Midland Ave in regards to a shots fired investigation.

Upon arrival, police officers spoke with a witness who reported a female suspect had fired a number of shots at a male victim.  The witness provided officers with descriptions of both the suspect and victim who had left the scene.

Police were able to locate the 18 year old male victim at the intersection of W. Florence Ave and S. Salina Street.  The victim was not injured as a result of the incident and he refused to cooperate further with the investigation.

Police Officer Damon Lockett quickly located the suspect, a 16 year old female, in the 3600 block of Midland Ave.  Officer Lockett also recovered the handgun used in the incident.  The recovered weapon was a loaded Jimenez Arms .380 caliber handgun.

Upon further investigation, it was determined the suspect had stolen the handgun during a residential burglary committed in the City of Syracuse on November 10, 2018.

The female suspect was arrested and charged with Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Burglary in the Second Degree and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree.  She was lodged at the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Facility.*

*As in all posting of arrest information everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
