The Syracuse Police Department is investigating a homicide on Midland Ave. On Thursday, March 21, 2019 at about 11:35 P.M., the Syracuse Police Department responded to the intersection of Midland Ave. at Furman St. for a call of a motor vehicle collision, in which two people were involved in a physical altercation.
Upon their arrival, they learned that during that altercation, Shaladik Hadid, 39 years of age had been stabbed in the chest. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital by AMR Ambulance, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The unknown black male suspect fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival. There is no additional suspect information at this time.
