The Syracuse Police Department is investigating a homicide at 140 Oakwood Ave. On Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at about 9:27 P.M, the Syracuse Police Department responded to Eddies Eagle Market, located at 140 Oakwood Ave. for a call of a shooting
The investigation so far, has revealed that a masked suspect entered the store with a handgun and encountered an employee and engaged the victim. They ended up in a physical altercation, which ended outside, and on the ground. Once on the ground, a second suspect approached the victim and shot him in the back. The suspects, who were described as two younger black males wearing all dark clothing fled the scene, running across the street in an Easterly direction.
The victim, Asim Musa, 41 years of age, of Syracuse was transported to Upstate University Hospital by AMR Ambulance. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
