The Syracuse Police Department is investigating a shooting on Rider Ave. On Thursday, January 10, 2019 at about 10:25 P.M., the Syracuse Police Department responded to 105 Rider Ave. for a call of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located a 19 year old male victim, who had been shot in the chest. So far, their investigation has revealed that the victim had been in some sort of altercation with an unknown black male. And during that altercation, he was shot. The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital by AMR Ambulance. His injuries are considered to be non-life threatening. There is no suspect information at this time.
