Syracuse Police Department Investigate a Shooting on Tallman Ave.

The Syracuse Police Department is investigating a shooting on Tallman Ave. On Saturday, January 05, 2019 at about 5:05 P.M., the Syracuse Police Department responded to the 1000 block of S. Clinton St. for a call of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located a 40 year old male victim, who had been shot in the leg. He stated that while he was walking in the area of Tallman Ave. near the intersection of Lincoln Ave., he heard multiple gunshots, one of which struck him in the leg. He did not see who shot him, and was unable to provide any suspect information.

The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital by AMR Ambulance. His injury is considered to be non-life threatening.

This investigation is active and ongoing. Further information will be released when it becomes available.
