Syracuse Police Department Investigate E. Bissell Street Stabbing

The Syracuse Police Department is investigating a stabbing on E. Bissell St. On Saturday, January 26th, 2019, at about 3:47 P.M., the Syracuse Police Department responded to 146 E. Bissell St. for a call of a stabbing. Upon their arrival, they located a 26-year-old male victim, who had been stabbed in the abdomen.  The victim stated he was walking in the 100 block of E. Bissell St. when the suspect approached him. They ended up in an altercation, during which, the suspect stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene. There is minimal suspect information at this time.

The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital by ambulance. He is listed in stable condition, and he is expected to survive.

This investigation is ongoing. Further information will be released when it becomes available.
