Syracuse Police Department Make an Arrest in Westcott Street Shooting with Injuries Investigation

On Sunday, April 21st, 2019 at 11:04 P.M., Officers responded to 206 Westcott Street, after receiving a 9-1-1 call for a shooting with injuries.  When Officers arrived, they located the female victim, 18, who had suffered a serious gunshot wound.  The victim is currently listed in critical condition.  Detectives conducted interviews of those present at the residence and developed a suspect, Victor Bahati, 21.

Bahati has been taken into custody and charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.  A handgun was recovered.
