Syracuse Police Investigate a Butternut St. Stabbing and a Fight at Destiny

Fight responded to at Foot Locker Destiny USA – Sunday, August 23rd, 2020, at around 3:33 P.M., Officers responded to Foot Locker, located in the Destiny USA mall, for a fight call. Upon arrival, the individuals involved in the fight had left prior to police arrival. The investigation revealed that a fight had taken place in the store between several males.

An edge object looks to have been displayed at some point during the fight, but it does not appear to have been used. 

Syracuse Police Investigate Butternut St. Stabbing

Sunday, August 23rd, 2020, at around 12:27 A.M., Officers responded to the 800 block of Butternut St. for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 17-year-old male with a stab wound to the arm. Suspect information was developed and relayed to Officers in the area.

Officers found a male, Joseph White, 34, who was determined to be the suspect in this incident. White was arrested and charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree. White was lodged at the Justice Center.

The victim was taken to Upstate Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
