Syracuse, N.Y. – On December 5th, 2018 at approximately 12:33 PM, Syracuse Police Officers responded to the area of Park Street and Turtle Street in regards to a shooting call. Upon arrival, Officers located a17 year old male, who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his abdomen. Officers were also notified that a second shooting victim was located in the 300 block of Bear Street. Upon arrival, Officers located a 16 year old male suffering from gunshot wounds to his abdomen. Both victim were transported to Upstate University Hospital by AMR Ambulance for treatment. Neither of their injuries are considered to be life threatening.
The investigation revealed that both victims were walking in the 1400 block of N. Salina Street when they were shot. After being shot, they split up and went direct directions to seek medical attention. The victims refused to provide any details to investigating Officers.
Witnesses indicate that the suspect was possibly a male, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
