Syracuse Police Make Arrest Suspect Found with Loaded Ghost (untraceable) Gun and Drugs

On Friday, July 31st, 2020, at around 5:40 P.M., Officers R. Bebernitz and G. Prudhomme were patrolling in the area of the 600 block of E. Laurel St. when they observed a wanted party, Devon Apgar, 32 walking in the area. Officers were able to quickly apprehend the male.

During the search, Officers located 12 grams of crack cocaine and a Polymer 80 (P80) 9mm handgun loaded with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine. Apgar was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree,  Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Resisting Arrest for today’s incident.

Apgar was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree for two previous shooting incidents.
