Syracuse Police Makes Second Arrest in Homicide of Jamire Gillard

On Saturday, July 13th, 2019 at around 2:29 AM, Officers responded to 349 W Pleasant Ave., McKinley Park for a call of a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, they discovered a male, Jamire Gillard, 18 who had a gunshot wound to the chest. The male was transported to Upstate Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Suspect information is limited at this time.

On Thursday, July 25th, Detectives of the Criminal Investigations Division arrested Amir Bordies, 18, of Syracuse, on murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

On Saturday, August 10th, 2019 in the morning hours in the Eastwood neighborhood of Syracuse, James Everson, 29, was arrested for Murder in the second degree and Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree in connection with this incident.
