Syracuse Police Officers Arrest Four Juveniles for Robbery

On Sunday, June 30, 2019, at approximately 2:29 P.M., Officers were dispatched to Jamesville Avenue for a reported robbery.  Upon arrival Officers met with the victim a 21 year old male.  The victim had been removing groceries from the trunk of his car when he was approached by four suspects who attacked him.  The victim was punched and knocked to the ground when his wallet and vehicle key fob was taken from him.  The suspects then attempted to drive away with the victim’s vehicle but were unsuccessful.  The suspects ultimately fled on foot.

Officers located the suspects, 4 juveniles, a short distance away from the incident, at which point they were all detained.  Based upon the Officers results of the investigation, the four juveniles ages 13, 13, 15, and 16, were all charged with 2 counts of robbery in the second degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree.  One of the 13 year old suspects received an additional charge of harassment in the second degree.  Both 13 year old suspects were issued appearance tickets and released to their guardians; the 15 and 16 year old suspects were remanded to Hillbrook detention center
