Syracuse Police Respond to Multiple Calls, Shots Fired, 1 Stabbing

Overnight: Syracuse Police respond to multiple calls, from shots fired to a stabbing. The following information was released by the SPD regarding calls to police.  Most shots fired calls result in casings being found, with no suspects. A man was stabbed in downtown Syracuse, hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shots Fired Call on Shonnard Street – Saturday, August 15th, 2020, at around 2:33 A.M., Officers responded to the 400 block of Shonnard St. for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of a shots fired, and several casings were located. There were no injuries reported, and one vehicle was struck by gunfire.

Shots Fired Call on Midland Ave. – Saturday, August 15th, 2020, at around 3:10 A.M., Officers responded to the 500 block of Midland Ave. for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of a shots fired, and several casings were located. There were no injuries or damage reported.

South Clinton Street Stabbing – Saturday, August 15th, 2020, at around 4:21 A.M., Officers responded to the 1000 block of S. Clinton St. for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 34-year-old male who suffered from multiple stab wounds to his head. The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
