Multiple area Law Enforcement Agencies responded to the calls as families and friends gather at local hospitals

Syracuse Police continue their Investigation of multiple shootings, 9 shot in a lot at Wyoming and Marcellus Street. On the Near Westside of Syracuse, a couple hundred people gathered for a party. In video posted on Facebook you can see the gathering was peaceful and in fact ending; when suddenly, as shots rang out, a chaotic rush to safety as people ran for their lives. Law Enforcement agencies from all over Central New York, including Onondaga County Sheriffs and New York State Troopers descended on Syracuse in an effort to assist. This is a common practice among area law enforcement agencies, to provide assistance.

Nine victims were identified and ultimately taken to Upstate Hospital for treatment. One victim is listed in critical condition, and the other eight are expected to survive.

  • 23, Male, Gunshot to groin and leg, Non-life threatening
  • 29, Male, Gunshot wound to the neck, Non-life threatening
  • 20, Female, Gunshot wound to the leg, Non-life threatening
  • 18, Female, Gunshot wound to the leg, Non-life threatening
  • 17, Male, Gunshot wound to the head, Critical
  • 19, Female, Gunshot wound to the leg, Non-life threatening
  • 37, Female, Gunshot wound to the shoulder, Non-life threatening
  • 22, Male, Gunshot wound to the leg, Non-life threatening
  • 53, Female, Gunshot wound to the back and midsection.

2826 S. Salina St.Family Dollar Scene of late Night Shooting

Saturday, June 20th, 2020, at around 11:16 P.M., Officers responded to Upstate Community Hospital for a shooting with injuries investigation. Upon arrival, Officers located a 28-year-old male who had been shot in the leg. The victim is expected to survive.  Preliminary information suggests that this shooting occurred in the Family Dollar parking lot located at 2826 S. SPD Responds to S. State St Shooting with Injures

Saturday, June 20th, 2020, at around 11:37 P.M., Officers responded to the 100 block of Stewart Court for a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, Officers located a 51-year-old male who had been shot in the leg. S. State St Shooting Injures One Person 

Saturday, June 20th, 2020, at around 11:58 P.M., Officers responded to Upstate Hospital for a shooting with injuries investigation. Upon arrival, Officers located a 25-year-old male who had been shot in the leg. The victim is expected to survive.  Preliminary information suggests that this shooting occurred in the 1300 block of S. State St where multiple casings were located on scene, and several vehicles were struck by gunfire.

Onondaga Ave. Shots Fired

Sunday, June 21st, 2020, at around 1:48 A.M., Officers responded to the 200 block of Onondaga Ave. for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of a shots fired, and several casings were found.

Wolf Street Shots Fired

Sunday, June 21st, 2020, at around 3:18 A.M., Officers responded to the 200 block of Wolf St. for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of a shots fired, and several casings were found. A vehicle was also struck by gunfire.
