The Syracuse Police Make an Arrest in a Shots Fired Complaint

On April 4th, 2020, at around 8:34 P.M., Officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of Vine St. for a shots fired complaint. Upon arrival, Officers met with a female victim. The investigation revealed that Steven Jamison , 27 went to the victim’s residence, where a dispute ensued between the victim’s current boyfriend and Jamison.

At one point during the argument, Jamison displayed a gun and threatened the victim’s boyfriend. There were several children in the house during this dispute that the victim and Jamison have in common. After Jamison displayed the weapon, he went outside and fired multiple times, striking the victim’s house and another house. Jamison then fled the area.

Jamison was later located at a residence in the 800 block of Avery Ave. where he was taken into custody. Jamison was charged with Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, Reckless endangerment in the first degree, three counts of Endangering the welfare of a child and Criminal contempt in the first degree.  S. Jamison was logged at the Justice Center.
