The Syracuse Press Club Announces Award Finalists “urbancny.com” Wins 2 of 4 in Online Journalism Categories, “The Stand” Wins in Non-Daily Print

The Syracuse Press Club has announced the recipients of this year’s Syracuse Press Club Professional Recognition Awards. Attached is a scrambled list of the winners. 1st and 2nd place winners will be announced at the SPC Professional Recognition Award Dinner.

The SPC would like to thank all for entering their 39th annual contest. The entries were judged by volunteers from press clubs around the country, who spent more than a month poring over the best journalism Central New York had to offer in order to select the winners.

You can join the Syracuse Press Club at their awards banquet on Saturday, May 6, at Drumlins Country Club. At the dinner they’ll also celebrate SPC “Club Award” winners: Best Newcomer, Professional Standards, Best News Source and Scholarship winner, as well as the latest addition to our Wall of Distinction. The SPC will be announcing those winners soon. To reserve a table, visit syracusepressclub.org by May 3. Congratulations to all of the winners!
