Dana Balter holds a strong position heading into the election. Recent polling in the race shows Balter leading Katko 45% to 42%, and the race is now ranked as ‘Toss-Up’ by The Daily Kos, The Cook Political Report, Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Politico. The Washington Post and Roll Call both rank NY-24 as one of the top 3 most vulnerable Republican House seats. In August, Vice President Joe Biden made Dana Balter his first House endorsement in the country and President Barack Obama included her among his first endorsements of the cycle.
