Vehicle Strikes Syracuse Fire Station

Syracuse, N.Y. – On November 18th at 2:40 p.m. today, a commercial van struck the front of Fire Station 17, located at 2317 Burnet Avenue.  There was minor damage to the building.  The driver of the van was evaluated by AMR at the scene, but was not transported to the hospital.  No firefighters were injured.

The station, which serves the Eastwood section of Syracuse, will continue normal operations.  Fire and emergency services in that area will not be impacted.  The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
