What If We Told You That In One Hour You Could Learn How to Save a Life?

Could there be anything sweeter?

Actually, there is.

You can learn to save the life of someone who has overdosed on opioids, and enjoy delicious Salt City Coffee along with Syracuse’s original Glazed and Confused Donuts.

This is serious business. 130 people die every day in our country from an overdose of heroin or prescription pain killers, collectively known as opioids. The opioid epidemic affects every corner of society. A single overdose can kill, and every death from opioids leaves a family and a community to mourn the loss of a loved one.

There is a simple step that you can take to help reverse the effect of an overdose, and to save a life. In just thirty minutes you can learn to administer Naloxone (commonly known as Narcan) through a nasal spray. Trainers from Helio Health will be at the Spa from 4-5 PM on Tuesday, January 22. We will have coffee and donuts and they will walk us through how to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to safely administer this life-saving treatment. All participants will leave with a kit containing two doses and with the knowledge to use it properly.

Because the only thing sweeter than saving a life is saving a life and eating a donut.

Please let Ed Griffin-Nolan know by January 15 how many people from your family or organization will be attending. RSVP to massage@dreamscape.com.
