“Whiskey & Wisdom” Virtual Whiskey Tasting to Support Onondaga Community College Students

The OCC Foundation will host a virtual fundraiser, “Whiskey & Wisdom,” to benefit the financial needs of Onondaga Community College students through the OCC Foundation. The event will be held Friday, February 26th from 6pm to 9pm.

“Whiskey & Wisdom” is presented by Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub and Restaurant and Dining Inside and Out. Featured whiskeys include:

  • FLX Distillers McKenzie Rye
  • Lock 1 Distilling Co Inferno 1010 Cinnamon Whiskey
  • Old Home Distillers Bourbon
  • Redbreast 12 Year
  • Bushmills Single Malt 16 Year

Distillers will participate virtually, share information about each beverage, and answer questions.

Nothing pairs better with whiskey than a carefully curated box of food from your local favorites.

Participants will have the opportunity to pair their whiskey with cheese or charcuterie boxes from Kitty Hoynes, a dessert box from The Sweet Praxis, or a chocolate box from Speach Family Candy Shoppe. Whiskey & Wisdom also includes food options such as braised beef sliders, coffee cured hot smoked salmon with goat cheese, and chocolate mole meatballs with carmelized onions.

Whiskey & Wisdom will be hosted by radio station TK-99’s Gomez Adams who is a 2016 alumnus of OCC. Event prices range from $20 to $99. Sponsorships are available. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.sunyocc.edu/whiskeywisdom.
