Syracuse, N.Y., November 14, 2018 — The Summit Federal Credit Union Wine & Chocolate Festival (wineandchocolatefestivals.com) will return to the Horticulture Building at the NYS Fairgrounds on November 24th.
Thousands of attendees will sample wines, spirits, chocolates and other foods and browse gifts from approximately 100 vendors. All paid admissions receive a free wine glass and gourmet chocolate treats. Additionally there will be a “chocolate bar” where guests can sample treats from chocolatiers across New York State.
This year’s event will feature two sessions: 1-4 pm and 5-8 pm. Each session will have a limited number of tickets.
As the title sponsor, The Summit Federal Credit Union has devoted part of the festival to raise funds for the Second Chance Canine Adoption Shelter; the organization pairs homeless dogs with Jamesville Correctional Facility inmates, who care for and prepare the dogs for adoption. The experience teaches inmates skills that help them return to community life as caring, productive citizens. One dollar from every bottle of wine sold at the festival will be donated to Second Chance, and there will be additional, fun efforts at The Summit’s festival booth.
“The Summit is dedicated to supporting organizations that strengthen our members’ communities.” said Cheryl Pohlman, Vice President of Marketing and Community Relations for The Summit Federal Credit Union. “Our Syracuse Wine & Chocolate Festival lets us support and give exposure to the Second Chance Canine Adoption Shelter as well as the over 100 local vendors who exhibit at the festival.”
Festival tickets are $30 in advance for wine tasters (including wine sampling) and $10 for designated drivers. Tickets are available at all area Wegmans and online at www.wineandchocolatefestivals.com.
